Ziyad Raoof at the conference TEDx Politechnika Lodzka

On July 14, KRG Representative in Poland participated as a one of the speakers in TEDx conference organized in conference hall of the Lodz University of Technology. In a tightly-filled hall containing three hundred viewers appeared fourteen speakers in four thematic blocks: social activists, entrepreneurs, talented scientists, representatives of NGOs. The event was organized under the patronage of Hanna Zdanowska President of Lodz.

Ziyad Raoof gave a speech entitled: “The Poles have succeeded, why the Kurds will succeed too?”. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of regaining Poland’s independence, the KRG Representative presented to the audience numerous historical analogies between the fate of Poles and Kurds, like capacity to defend their language and culture, bravery and not-giving up after defeats, fight for freedom of other oppressed. He also spoke about last year independence referendum, Kurdish sacrifice to refugees and war with terrorism.

Ziyad Raoof also talked how Poles can now support Kurds and concluded that since the patient and steadfast struggle for independence brought success to Poland, Kurdistan will receive the desired goal too.
