It is the largest exhibition of contemporary Kurdish art not only in Poland, but in Europe and around the world. Works of several dozen artists are presented – from all parts of Kurdistan, but also living on emigration in different parts of the world. They include both the most popular artists of contemporary art and masters from the 1960s and 1970s who are mentors and inspirers of the current generation of artists.

The exhibition is multidisciplinary – there are paintings, graphics, photography, video art and performance art. An important element of the exhibition are the accompanying events: film screenings, photo exhibitions, concerts and seminars with the participation of Polish Kurdologists and experts on Kurdish issues.

The main ideas behind the exhibition are: “What does it mean to be a Kurdish” and how the Kurds created identity-saving culture.

The exhibition is under the patronage of Kurdistan Regional Government Representation in Poland, organized with support of the Chancellery of the President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani and with assistance of KRG Department of Foreign Relation.
