The protection of personal data is treated in a particularly serious manner in the Representation of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Poland (hereinafter the “Representation”). This Privacy Policy sets out the conditions for sending the newsletter, special messages and invitations by electronic means as well as the legal grounds of the processing and the methods of collecting and using personal data, and provides information on the rights of individuals. We use the provided personal data for the purposes set out in this document or for any other purpose indicated at the time of transfer. Personal data means information about an identified or identifiable individual. In the case of collection and use of personal data, we want to maintain transparency regarding the basis and method of processing personal data.

The data administrator informs that the personal data provided by you will be processed in accordance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and the repeal of the directive 95/46 / EC (general regulation on data protection), hereafter referred to as the GDPR.

We take the security of all data we have and process very seriously. We comply with recognized international safety standards. We regularly audit the measures implemented in terms of their adequacy to secure the data held and processed.
Processing operations:
We process your email address, first name and last name, opening history and your preferences for our newsletter. We have collected your data directly from you or by you filling out the subscription form for the newsletter. We process your personal data only for the purpose of sending newsletter, special messages and invitations by electronic means. You can opt out of receiving information at any time.
Legal basis for processing:
We act on the basis of our legally legitimate interest of the data controller or consent, if we have asked the person who provides this data to provide such consent.
Collecting personal data of people visiting our website
We receive the following personal information from people visiting our website who want to subscribe to our newsletter: name, surname and e-mail address.
Use of personal data:
If the visitor provides us with personal information, it is used for purposes specified at the time of transfer (or when it is obvious in the context of the transfer of data). Personal data is collected only for the purpose of sending the newsletter. You can opt out of receiving information at any time by following the instructions given in the communication addressed to the person or by contacting us via e-mail sent to the address poland@gov.krd. We do not collect or keep personal data on our site for the purpose of transfer or sale it to third parties for marketing purposes, nor do we send messages on behalf of third parties.
Data storage:
We store your personal data until the consent is withdrawn (resignation from receiving the newsletter), and after its withdrawal only for the period of prescription of any claims related to the data processing.
When and how we transfer personal data to third parties and the place of processing
We share your personal data with companies dealing with IT system operations that enable our communication with you, but only to the extent that is necessary for sending our newsletters, special messages and invitations through email. We process your personal data within the European Economic Area.

Newsletter and special communications are the work within the copyright law and are subject to protection specified in this law. Any copying, modification and use in a manner inconsistent with the intended purpose or without the consent of the Administrator may mean an infringement of the law.
Rights of individuals and their implementation:
In accordance with the rules of the GDPR you have the right to:

put restrictions on data processing;

objecte (when the basis of processing is the legitimate interest of the administrator);
withdraw the consent (when consent is the basis for processing).

Please pay attention to the fact that:
- the right to delete data and the right to demand limitation of its processing are only valid in cases specified in the rules of the GDPR;
- the right to transfer data shall only be granted if the legal basis for processing is agreement or performance of the contract;
- The data administrator may refuse to delete your data despite submitting such a request, provided that one of the exceptions listed in the GDPR occurs, e.g. when processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation or to establish, assert or defend claims;
- in some cases, the Data Administrator may refuse your refusal to process your data based on the legitimate interest of the administrator, where there are legally valid grounds for processing that are superior to your interests, rights and freedoms or there are grounds for establishing, investigating or defending claims – this right is not available to the administrator when the data is processed for direct marketing purposes (e.g. business contacts).
Complaints

Changes to the Privacy Policy:
This Privacy Policy is a subject to a regular review and change it if it proves necessary or desirable due to: new legal regulations, new guidelines of organisations responsible for supervising the processes of personal data protection.
We also reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy in the event of changes in technology, by which we process personal data (if the change affects the wording of this document), and in the event of changes in methods, purposes or legal grounds for processing of personal data.
