„Kurds have a real chance for their own state” – reportage from Kurdistan Region for TVP
March 22, 2016, 12:18In March, Polish Public TV journalist, Paweł Szot visited Kurdistan Region. His reportages present celebration of Newroz – Kurdish New Year, which he uses as a pretext for showing the Kurdish issue in a larger perspective. He starts from presenting the circumstances of the division of Kurdistan 100 years ago by the Sykes-Picot agreement, through the repulse of the ISIS attack to the current hopes, opportunities and possibilities for Iraqi Kurdistan for to be an independent state. The author talks about the perspective of independence with representatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government, academia, entrepreneurs and Kurds.
