Meeting with Commissioner for Human Rights

KRG Representative in Poland Ziyad Raoof met with Commissioner for Human Rights prof. Marcin Wiącek and Deputy Commissioner dr Hanna Machińska. The issues of human rights protection related to the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, as well as the ways of delivering humanitarian aid for people in detention centers and in border areas were discussed. Kurds are currently the largest group of foreigners in detention centers at the territory of Poland.
KRG Representative Ziyad Raoof also brought up other long-standing problems in Polish-Kurdish relations, such as visa policy.
