Meeting for students from Kurdistan and Kurdish diaspora in KRG office in Warsaw

On Saturday, November 16, Kurdistan Regional Government Representation in Poland hosted in its headquarters meeting for students from Kurdistan and for Kurdish diaspora living in Poland. About 50 Kurds from various parts of Poland attended the meeting: students, postgraduates, working persons with their families. There were also Christians from Kurdistan.

The meeting started with welcoming guests by KRG Representative in Poland. Ziyad Raoof thanked for coming and reassured that the doors of KRG Representation in Poland are always open for Kurds in Poland and staff of the Representation is always ready to help them. After that he asked attendants for introducing theirselves and report if anyone had any questions, problems or suggestions for KRG Poland.  Speeches were also given by the elders of Kurdish diaspora in Poland.

Later, Peshang Hama Karim PhD student from Warsaw University of Technology gave a presentation dedicated to new Kurdish students in Poland about the most important things during first weeks of stay in this country. Another part of the program was lecture given by Kurdish artist Ahmed Nabaz residing in Poland at 3-months scholarship. He talked about his work and presented some of his video-arts. At the end of the event guests were invited for a dinned where they had a chance to better acquaint with compatriots living in Poland.

KRG Representation in Poland every year organize periodic meeting for Kurdish diaspora, like Newroz, new-year meeting and meeting on the occasion of start of new academic year.
