Exhibition of Kurdish painter Bahram Hajou

On June 23 in Krakow, KRG Representation in Poland together with Krakow Chapter of Association of Polish Artists and Designers organized a vernissage of the “Dialogue” exhibition by famous Kurdish painter Bahram Hajou. He is from Rojava, now living and working in Germany.

The event took place in Pryzmat Gallery in Krakow, it was attended by representatives of diplomatic corps headed by General Consul of France in Krakow, academic circles headed by president of Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, art enthusiasts as well as Kurds living in Krakow.

At the opening of the exhibition speeches were given by Joanna Warchoł- Head of Krakow Chapter of Association of Polish Artists and Designers, Ziyad Raoof- KRG Representative in Poland, Prof. Stanisław Tabisz- president of Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts and Bahram Hajou.

The event was organized according to the principles of special sanitary regime.

Thanks to KRG Poland efforts that event was organized under patronage of German Consulate in Krakow. General Consul of Germany was not present at the vernissage due to top-down regulation to avoid public gatherings. However, a day later he agreed for individual visit at the exhibition and meeting with Bahram Hajou, Ziyad Raoof and Joanna Warchoł.
