President Barzani Meets U.S. Delegation‏

Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – President Masoud Barzani received a United States delegation headed by Senate Majority leader Senator Mitch McConnell and a number of other senators and members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The delegation also included State and Defense department delegates. During the meeting President Barzani and the U.S. guests spoke of a number of topics, most importantly the current war on the terrorists of the Islamic State.  (more…)

President Barzani Receives President Obama’s Special Presidential Envoy‏

Salahadin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq – President Masoud Barzani welcomed a United States military and diplomatic delegation headed by General John Allen, the Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó proposes $300 million aid for Iraqi Kurdistan

Hungary will initiate that the European Union (EU) provide immediate USD 300 million (HUF 83 billion) aid for Iraqi Kurdistan for the care of refugees as in the absence of prompt relief, those seeking shelter there will soon set out for Europe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told the Hungarian News Agency MTI in his statement made on Wednesday by telephone from Erbil.
